Snapshots and versions, at a glance
Life Saver allows you to search for auto-saved objects by user and type.
Once an auto-saved object is selected, Life Saver shows all of the entries for that object, including auto-save snapshots, historical versions, and the current object version.
Days and weeks between entries are shown visually, and a summary shows how many entries of each type there are.

Travel back in time
Clicking on a Life Saver entry, either a snapshot or an object version, takes you to the familiar data view.
In this example, the auto-saved object /RSC/PS_MANAGE_VIEW_PAUSE_UTIL is a program, and clicking on a snapshot shows the ABAP source code. The data displayed represents the state of the active version of the object, on the date and time shown, independently of the current live state of the object.
You can then use the “Compare versions” button to see a Match Box diff between this snapshot and any other snapshot or object version.
