Salt Apps Dashboard

Entry to the Matrix app is via the Salt dashboard, which can be accessed via the SAPGUI or via a browser.

On the Salt dashboard, you will also find a collection of other apps your project team can use to immediately improve SAP system health and integrity.

Matrix Interface

Matrix compares your custom objects across multiple SAP systems by analyzing every object in every system, allowing you to quickly see which objects are different in QAS and PRD.

Differences between SAP Systems

Matrix will highlight all differences between systems, which is particularly useful for finding differences that are arguably not part of your normal healthy development life cycle.

In this example, among other differences, program /RSC/CE_RSC_MENU_01 is shown to be different in QAS and PRD, compared to DEV. Further, the current state is one version behind that in DEV, as indicated by the -1. This is not necessarily a problem as there is currently active development going on in this landscape and these changes are in sequence as shown by the green tick in the right hand column.

If the results were slightly different and PRD was ahead of QAS (e.g. QAS was -2 instead of -1), the changes would be out of sequence. Matrix would highlight this and the serious situation could be dealt with.
