RSC Salt Apps Certified VMware Ready

Certification covers Salt virtual appliance and the mini-apps it drives

Melbourne, AU – April 5, 2011

Revelation Software Concepts Pty Ltd (RSC), an SAP® software partner and creator of the widely used Rev-Trac® change control technology for use with SAP solutions, today announced that its free Salt Apps™ set of mini-apps for SAP software-based information systems has achieved certification as a VMware Ready virtual appliance.

Salt, the free application platform, runs as a virtual appliance to drive the Salt Apps collection of small, time-saving and incredibly useful "mini-apps" to automate change control processes normally done manually. They are specifically designed for SAP project team members to make working with SAP easier, faster and more productive. The Salt platform and Salt Apps are free for up to three SAP systems.

VMware-Ready certification means the Salt Apps suite has been given VMware's highest level of endorsement as providing seamless host-system interoperability. The rigorous certification testing showed that Salt Apps meet VMware’s most demanding standards for virtual appliances. The software had already received SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform.
