Salt System Requirements

Salt architecture:

  • The Salt server is a virtual appliance that runs on a VMware virtual platform. For a more information on the virtual appliance concept, click here
  • Salt is a client/server application
  • When installing Salt, users import a small ABAP component into their SAP systems. This allows the Salt server to communicate with these systems
  • Users access Salt apps through a web browser or through the SAP GUI
